Chapter Three of 'Pure Chance' is now up

Hello again to everyone. If you couldn't tell from the heading then I'll clarify it again; I've posted Chapter Three of Pure Chance and you can read it from the link on the right (though you probably know that by now - but I gotta keep new readers in the loop as well).

I hope it hasn't been too long since my last update, I'll try and post new chapters as soon as they're done, and if I start to get too busy to write (it is a hobby and not a paying job after all!), I'll let you all know whether an update will be a bit of a wait.

Enjoy the next chapter of Pure Chance.

C'ya.

Blogs and Bonsai's

I once owned a little bonsai tree a few years ago which I loved and was really excited about when I first bought it. It was great at first, I loved seeing the new leaves sprout. I remember how much I enjoyed trimming it and I couldn't wait for it to grow enough for me to train it into shape with wires. Sadly, my interest in it declined and I found myself watering it less and less. Eventually the moss around the base died and refused to come back to life. The leaves all slowly dropped off and before long the whole thing was dead - along with my interest. So I was never able to train the plant and experience the complete joy of growing a bonsai tree.

What is the significance of this story? Well for one, I shouldn't be trusted with bonsai's, let alone any type of plant. More importantly was my realisation that keeping a blog is much like keeping a bonsai. No matter how excited I was about this blog, or how much I loved the idea of starting one, in the end it's really my commitment that will allow me to keep it alive. From there I can sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labour. Not that blogs produce fruit. Or bonsai's. Or do they? I mean if you can make a bonsai out of any plant I'm sure you can make a bonsai fruit tree . . . er, I'm going off on a tangent now.

Chapter Two of 'Pure Chance' is now up

G'day everyone, I have posted Chapter Two of Pure Chance and you can read it from the link on the right (just click on the title).

This story is just writing itself as I go. It's amazing how I'll just open up Microsoft Word, then start typing and the story just flows out of me. I wish that would happen every time, more often then not I'll just leave the page blank and go do something else. I'd rather not force the story though, I don't think it would read well, I prefer to let the story unfold as I write it. Not that I don't have the main story line planned out, I do, but even that changes as I write a story.

Oh well, enjoy the update.

March 04, 2006

Hello and welcome to my blog

I've decided to start a blog where I can put all my short stories in one place. Centre of March is the only complete story I have up so far, but there will be many more to come. Click the link under 'My Short Stories' on the right to read it.

At the moment I'm working on a new story titled Pure Chance, check it out at the link on the right.

Feel free to add any comments, either after a blog post or at the end of a chapter. You can discuss something or ask any questions. If you ask something I'll do my best to respond when I can.

You'll have to be patient with me while I get used to blogging, this blog will constantly be updated so it'll get better. I hope.

Anyway, I'm off, got some stories to write and they aint gonna write themselves.

Later people.
